Harris was a former resident of McAdoo and had been residing in Abilene. He died Feb. 17 in an Abilene hospital. A retired farmer, he was a member of the Spur Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by two sons, E.W. of Abilene and C.L. of Lubbock; two daughters, Mrs. Ina Clark of Abilene and Mrs. Hazel Morgan of Amarillo; several grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.

George was the son of William "Willie" Josha and Tolula Lucinda Nolen Harris. His grandparents were Thomas Henderson and Permelia Rasberry Harris. Brother to Ward H. Harris.
