Larry P. Rouch, 61, of Cadiz, KY, formerly of Valparaiso, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at home.
He was born December 14, 1948 in Valparaiso to William and Rosemary (Ketchmark) Rouch.
Larry graduated from Valparaiso High School and served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. He had been the owner of Rouch's TV and Appliance in Valparaiso until moving to Lake Barkley in 2007. He was a member and twice Past Commander of the Kouts American Legion Post 301, a Life Member of the VFW Post 988 in Valparaiso, active in the American Legion Post 94 in Valparaiso, member of the American Legion 40/8 Club and the Vietnam Veterans of America. He was also a member of the Porter Masonic Lodge #137, F&AM; Orak Shrine of Michigan City and the Scottish Rite, Valley of South Bend. Larry enjoyed fishing and Model A cars.
On September 17, 1983 in Valparaiso he married Julie Sanders, who survives, along with three children: Jennifer (Joe) Metro of Charlotte, NC, June Jones of Augusta, GA and Lucas (Beth) Rouch of Valparaiso; his parents: Bill and Rosemary Rouch of Cadiz, KY; one brother, Bill (Penni) Rouch of Valparaiso; and seven grandchildren: Alexis, Levi, and Jacob Metro, Megan and Grace Jones, Madisyn Rouch and Bryce Compton.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso, conducted by members of the VFW and American Legion. Burial will follow at Angelcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, 4:00-8:00 PM with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in Chicago, Kouts American Legion Post 301, or VFW Post 988. Moellerfuneralhome.com
