Carl Julius Bernert is the son of Felix Bernert and Clara (nee Dregler)Bernert was born at Mason City, Nebraska, on October 2, 1899, and he died on Thursday, April 26, 1973 at the Jennie M.M.M.M.Hospital in Broken Bow,NE. His entire life was spent in the Mason City NE area.
On August 16, 1934, at Oberlin Kansas he was married to Blanche Mooney, daughter of Jed A. & Katie (Scott) Mooney. To this union Three children were born. Clara Julia, Carl Joseph, and Cornelia Blanche.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanch, by two daughters, Clara Julia, who died in infancy and Cornelia,who died July 7, 1968; by his parents, 4 brothers, & 1 sister.
Survivors include his son, Carl Joseph Bernert of Sunset, Utah, 9 Grandchildren, and 1 Sister Mary Langer of Mason City, NE.
Funeral services fro Carl age 72 years was held on Monday April 30, 1973 at 10a.m. in St Thomas Catholic Church in Mason City, NE.
Pallbearers were Charles, Bernard, & Jim Zimmer. Bill Vocke, Jed & Mike Mooney.
