AVERD ASHFORD
Averd Ashford, 75, brother of Lafayette resident, Mrs. Ruth Burger, died at 1:23 p.m. Saturday in his home at 1 S. Market St., Liberty.
Mr. Ashford, a retired bus driver for ABC Buslines at Richmond, was married to Carrie Frye and she survives. He had been a resident of Liberty for 10 years, and was a member of Liberty Church of Christ.
Surviving with the widow and sister, are four step-sons, Sam Osborne of Fort Worth, Tex., Joe Osborne, Chalmers, Clinton Osborne and Thomas Osborne, both of Liberty; five step daughters, Mrs. Edith Prien of West Point, Mrs. Mary Fields, Patriot, Mrs. Rose Chapman, Brownsville, Mrs. Pat Baker, Liberty, and Mrs. Carolyn Clay in Florida.
