Charles Edgar Emerson, aged 73, resident of DeQueen, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999 at DeQueen Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 4
in Chapel Hill Cemetery with Norman Brazeal officiating under the direction of Wilkerson Funeral Home. He was born April 22, 1926 in Lockesburg, was a veteran of the United States Navy, a diesel mechanic, and a Jehovah's Witness. He was proceed in death by a son, John Martin Emerson, on Jan 7, 1999 and 1st wife Lorene Cross Emerson. He is survived by his wife Louise Lawrence Emerson; One son Charles Ray (Chuck) Emerson of Midland, Tx; two daughters Lorene Rene (Lori) Emerson May of Magnolia, Tx. and Chasidy Emerson of DeQueen; three stepsons, Ricky Cannon and Chris Cannon, both of DeQueen, and Harold Cannon of Antlers, Ok; two step daughters, Becky Liggins of Lockesburg and Debra Mullins of Johnstown, Penn.; four brothers Woodrow Emerson of Tacoma, Washington, Archie Emerson of Texarkana, Tex, John Emerson of Coos Bay, Ore and Stanley of Palm Harbor, Fla; four sisters, Linda Monroe of Horatio, Bessie Torgerson of Oak Harbor, Wash; and Delia Goins and Frances Yates both of Texarkana, Tx and a number of Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.
