He is survived by his wife, Vesta J. Everitt of Van Buren; two daughters, Stephanie Lynn Everitt-Smith of Van Buren, Melanie Diane Everitt of Salt Lake City, UT; one son, Christopher Thomas Everitt of Springdale, AR; four sisters, Dorothy Shurtleff, Janice Jenkins and Charlotte Montgomery all of Crossett, Arkansas and Brenda Atkins of Texarkana, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Dylan Everitt Smith, Bailey Nicole Smith, Nathan Thomas Watson and Connor Everitt Watson.
Funeral service was Monday, August 30, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Heritage United Methodist Church, 1604 Pointer Trail, Van Buren, AR with the Rev. Wes Hillard and Rev. Bill Kelton officiating. Burial was at Fairview Memorial Gardens in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Pallbearers were Joe Lloyd, Bob Butler, Don Lewis, John Eoff, Steve Strom, Jim Atkins, Kenny Jenkins.
Honorary pallbearers were Don Bishop, Jerry Gusewell and Omar Freeman.
