Funeral services for Joel Philip GADD, resident of Clark whose death occurred at his home near Clark Monday night, January 24, were held from the Heyer mortuary. Rev. Calvin A. Busch was in charge of the services and Roberta Noyce was vocal soloist.
• • Joel Philip GADD was born in Ohio on October 27, 1863. When a small child he came with his parents to Corning, Iowa, and grew to manhood there. He was married to Magdalena THOMAS on December 20, 1888. Mr. and Mrs. GADD continued to make their home in Iowa until 1900 when they moved to Washington state. They came to Routt county to live in 1928.
After a short residence in Steamboat Springs the couple moved to a ranch in Willow creek basin. Mrs. GADD died after suffering a broken hip in February, 1942.
Surviving are two children. Lester GADD of Seattle, Washington, and Mrs. Pansy MUNDT, also of Seattle. Both came to Steamboat Springs for the funeral services.
