Martin Wright was born at Clover Creek, Virginia, February 22, 1864. He came to Nebraska when a young man and has continued to reside here with the exception of a short while spent in Texas and Missouri. He passed away at his home in Ruskin April 8 1943, at the age of 80 years, 1 month, and 18 days. He was married to Ollie E. Jones on November 6, 1890, and to this union were born eleven children, three of whom preceded him in death: John Lelean who died November 2, 1906, Albert Martin on March 7, 1907, and an infant son on May 25, 1911.

He leaves to mourn his passing, the widow and the following children: Mrs. Mabel DeHart, Sacramento, California; Mrs. Marie Fellows, Wyaconda, Missouri; Mrs. Mryle Jackson, Keosauqua, Iowa; Mrs. Alma Hilton, Amarillo, Texas; Mrs. Elsibel Johnson and Verla Wright, Denver, Colorado; Ralph Wright, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Calvin Wright of the U.S. Army; also nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

Mr. Wright has been a member of the Church of Christ for many years and was ever faithful in attendance whenever his health permitted. He has been in failing health for some time but his condition became critical only two weeks ago. His wife and all the eight children were with him when he passed away.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Church of Christ in Ruskin, conducted by Clarence Mersch of Davenport, and interment in the Ruskin cemetery.
