Heinrich Soll Dies Suddenly
Heinrich Soll was born in Osdorf, Germany April 9, 1839 where he resided until his maturity, coming to America in 1858 and settling at Davenport, Iowa, where he lived until 1865, in which year he was married to Miss Caroline Soll.
He came to Nebraska in 1876 and settled on a farm down near Ponca, in Douglas county, where he resided for twenty-five years and where his family of six children were reared to womanhood and manhood.
Last fall on account of old age he and his wife came to make their home with their daughter, Mrs. John Bolln, who resides on a farm about 4 miles northwest of Blair, and where he passed away, unexpectedly, last Sunday.
He has always been a man of sterling qualities, industrious and a man who has been an excellent citizen and leaves to mourn him his aged wife and two sons and four daughters, all men and women of high character.
The funeral services were held today at the John Bolln farm home at 1 p.m., Rev. Lambrecht officiating, and the remains taken by automobile hearse to the German cemetery for interment followed by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives.

Henry Soll fell dead at 6:45 last Sunday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Bolln, who lives about three miles northwest of town, of heart failure, having been in normal health as far as anyone knew. The funeral was held at the Bolln farm at 12:30 today, Rev. A.W. Lambrecht officiating. Burial took place in the German cemetery down in Richland township. Mr. Soll was born in Oscori, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, april 19th, 1839 and was therefore almost 77 years of age. He came to America when a lad of 18 years and settled at Davenport, Ia. He was married there to Miss Caroline Soll, the same name but no relation, Feb. 14th, 1865 and came to this county in 1876, settling down near Florence, where he lived for many years. Last fall he came up to make his home with his daughter, where death found him so suddenly last Sunday evening. Besides the aged partner of his long life he leaves four daugthters and two sons, Mrs. August Rathman, of this city, Mrs. Henry Schmidt of Florence, Mrs. Chas. Showalter, of South Omaha, Mrs. John Bolln, Louie Soll, of Gordon, Neb., and Henry Soll, of Florence. Also 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Peter Soll, of this city, is a nephew of the deceased.

Feeling lonely in their old age he and his wife came to make their home with their daughter, Mrs. John Bolln and family last fall and just prior to his death an addition had been built to the Bolln home for their occupancy. Two sons, Henry and Louis, and four daughters, Mrs. John Bolln, Mrs. Aug. Rathmann of this city, Mrs. Henry Schmidt, of Florence and Mrs. Charles Showalter, of South Omaha, are living.
Funeral service was held at the Bolln home Wednesday, Rev. A.W. Lambrecht, of the German Lutheran church, speaking words of consolation to the bereaved, and the remains were buried in the cemetery at the German hall south of this city.
Of the immediate family left to mourn the deceased are the wife and six children as follows: Mrs. August Rathmann, Mrs. John Bolln, Mrs. Trieda Shoelwater and two sons, Louis and Henry.
