Mrs. Cora M. Smith, 68, Beverly, died Thursday [Nov. 7] at St. John's Hospital after an illness of two weeks.

She was born Sept. 1, 1900, near Barnard and lived in Beverly in past 30 years. She was a member of the Community Church and the EHU, both at Beverly, and the VFW auxiliary, Lincoln.

Survivors include the widower, Fred, of the home, a son, Dean, Topeka; a daughter Mrs. Maxine Eales, Wichita; two brothers, Wayne Hunter, Great Bend, and Hardin Hunter, Lincoln; six sisters, Ruth Hunter, and Mrs. Florence Parsons, both of Wichita; Mrs. Anna Hart, Barnard, Mrs. Bertha Talheln, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Elsie Cole, Beverly, and Mrs. Neva Will, rural Hunter, and five grandchildren.

The funeral was Monday [Nov. 11] at the Hall Memorial Chapel, Lincoln, the Rev. Garner Berg officiating. Burial was in the Beverly cemetery.
