MERRITTS - Ruth E., 89, Church of the Brethren Home, passed away Feb. 26, 2008, at the home. Born July 20, 1918, in Windber, daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Spiker) Miller. Preceded in death by husband, Kenneth; son, William F. Mack; four brothers; and one sister. Survived by son, Gary Lee Mack, and wife, Elizabeth, Johnstown; stepdaughter, Peggy Hoad, Scotia, N.Y.; grandchildren, Marcy, Natalie, Alexander, Bonnie Jacob (Jeff Geiger), Beverly (Stan Kodus), Troy (Lisa), William, Nancy and Bobbie; and great-grandchildren, Dakota, Jeremiah, Molly, Mickey, Anthony, Tiffany, Stephen, Brittni, Logan, Madison and Tyler. Also survived by Gloria Jean Miller (Mack). Member of Moxham Lutheran Church. Retired from Mercy Hospital. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., where service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Robert R. Wagner. Interment, Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.
