Sylvia S. Aslin, the daughter of the late Albert S. and Daisy Ireland Barger was born near Bloomfield, Missouri, December 3, 1914 and passed away at the Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter, Missouri, October 6, 1993 at the age of 78 years.
Mrs. Aslin lived in the Bloomfield Community for many years and had been a resident of Dexter the past 18 years. She was a member of the Dexter Second General Baptist church.
In 1933 she was married to Charles W. Aslin. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1992.
Surviving are four children, two sons; Charles F. Aslin of Portage, Indiana, and Farrell Aslin of O'Fallon, Missouri, two daughters, Betty Lemons of Dexter and Jo Anne King of Paducah, Kentucky, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, two brothers; Hubert S. Barger of Evansville, Indiana and Cecil S. Barger of Wentzville, one sister; Velma S. Null of Springfield, also other relatives and friends survive to mourn her passing. One brother; Luther S. Barger preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held on Friday, October 8, 1993 at 1:00 p.m. in the Watkins and Sons Chapel in Dexter with Rev. Vyron Yount of Dexter officating. Burial was held in the Bloomfield Cemetery, Bloomfield, Missouri.
