Melburn K. Shanks, 76, died Monday, March 17, 1986, at Salina Nursing Center. Born July 26, 1909, at Madison, he moved to Stafford in 1934 and was a retired employee of Cities Service.
He is survived by one son Blaine, Wichita; one daughter Gaylene Youngblood, Salina; two sisters, Mrs. W.A. McMurray, Canton, and Mrs. Freeman Soule of Madison; three grandsons.
Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Stafford Church of the Nazarene, with Rev. Jim Pettitt officiating. Burial in the Stafford Cemetery.
