Mrs. Ellen Caroline Fisher, 74, of 1601 Clinton Avenue, Waverly, died Sunday in Shenandoah Hospital at Roanoke.
Surviving are the following children: Mrs. Nannie P. Daughtrey, George E. Fisher, Dewitt T. Fisher, and Nettye F. Riggle, all of Roanoke, Mrs. Frances A. Umberger, of 315 Mulberry Street, Waynesboro; Mrs. Clara S. Westmoreland of Wytheville; F. Mark Fisher and Miss C. Louise Fisher of Roanoke; and the following brothers and sisters. John Hedrick of Newport, Tenn.; W. M. Hedrick, of Bloomington, Ind.; Mrs. Josie Wolford and Mrs. Lettie Tarter, both of Wythe County.
Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at 1601 Clinton Avenue, by the Rev. R. C. Meeks, the Rev. D. S. Wolford, and the Rev. S. R. Orrell. A church service was held from the Mt. Ephraim M. E. Church, Wythe County, at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon. Interment was in the church cemetery.
