Passed to that higher life after a few days sickness at his home in Deering Dec. 13 1921. He was born Aug. 1, 1857 at Charlestown, Mass., the son of John H. and Theresa Carleton Chamberlin. He came to Hillsboro from Washington about 25 years ago, engaging in trucking for a few years, afterwards driving a team for the Standard Oil Co. Since that time he has been engaged in farming. He was a kind neighbor, ever ready to lend a helping hand. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He married Mary F. Wiley of Washington, Sept. 30, 1882, who survives him. He also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Edith Bradbury and Mrs. Minnie Morissette of Manchester, a son Carleton M. and one sister, Mrs. Minnie A. Townsend of Minneapolis to mourn their loss.

Funeral services were held at his home in Deering Friday at 1:00, Rev. Mr. McCann officiating. Burial was in the family lot in Washington. H.B. Currier, funeral director.
