Georgia L. Adams, 86, of Streamwood, IL passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2010. Georgia, born in Oklahoma, was the daughter of Harrison Simpson and Cora Angelene Samson Bland.
As a sharecropper's daughter, she learned early on about hard work and also had a great appreciation of the results and values of that effort. As a mother, she instilled those values in her children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Raymond D. Adams.
She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by three children, Kenneth Seipp, Jerry McDow and Sheila Neuman; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR 72116 (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at the Old Carlisle Cemetery, Carlisle, AR.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, August 16, 2010 at the funeral home.
