Funeral services for Jeanette Greenwald were conducted August 27th at the Cantlon Funeral Chapel with Rev, Keith Pyles officiating. Frank Paro sang "Beyond the Sunset," "One Day at a Time" and "Rock of Ages" accompanied by Jeannie Paro, organist.
Escorts were: Gareth Greenwald, Erik Greenwald, Dennis Devore, Ollie Clark, Jr., Jason Crawford, Kirby Devore, Shawn Greenwald, David Crawford and Tony Summers.
Interment was in Memorial Gardens of Memory under the direction of the Cantlon Funeral Home of Buffalo.
Jeanette Violet Greenwald, daughter of the late William Henry and Nettie May (Guthrie) Scott, was born February 9, 1920, at Bennet Springs and died on August 23, 1995, at her home in Buffalo. She was at the time of her passing 75 years, six months and 14 days of age.
Jeanette was reared in the Bennet Springs area and graduated from Buffalo High School. She was united in marriage to John Eul Devore in 1937. This union was blessed with two children, both of whom survive her. John passed away 1941. She was united in marriage to Clarence Levi Clark in 1941. This union was blessed with two children, both of whom survive her. Clarence passed away in 1950. She was united in marriage to John George Greenwald in 1950. This union was blessed by three children, all three survive her. George passed away in 1993.
Jeanette started working at Chastain's in 1971. She attended Graff Vo-Tech and earned an L.P.N. license in 1974 and continued working at Chastain's-Hickory Lane-Meadowbrook for a total of 22 years.
Jeanette attended March Assembly of God Church. She was a dedicated wife and mother, always thinking of her family first.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands; five brothers: Victor, Charley, Marion, Ona, and Mackey Scott; two sisters: Neoma Boan and Pearl Barnett; and two grandsons: Kerry Baily and Richard Stutesman Jr.
She is survived by three sons: Don Devore of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gary Greenwald of North Edwards, California, and Rick Greenwald of Oak Harbor, Washington; four daughters: Dolores Summers of Buffalo, Jan Clark of Buffalo, Carmen Bostic of Jefferson City, Karen Crawford of Preston; two sisters: Cora Tucker of Buffalo and June Shultz of Portland; 25 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren plus a host of friends and other family whom will sadly miss her.
