Funeral services were held January 19 at Hastings for Mrs. Hilma Pedersen, 87. She had been an employee and resident at Good Samaritan Village at Hastings for many years. Interment at Spring Creek Cemetery.

Services for Mrs. Hilma Pedersen were Monday at 10 a.m., at the All Saints Chapel at the Good Samaritan Village, Hastings, with Rev. Martin B. Lingwall Officiating.

She died last Friday at the Good Samaritan Village, Hastings, at the age of 87 years.

Hilma Elizabeth Christensen was born to Andrea Chris and Emma Carlson Christensen Jan. 27, 1893, near Ruskin.

Feb. 9,1912, she was united in marriage to Jorgen Christen Petersen at Ruskin. To this union four children, Albert Alvin Petersen I, Helen Sofie Petersen, Norman Christensen Petersen and Albert Alvin Petersen II, were born.

She lived most of her life in Nuckolls County, Nebraska, near Ruskin, Hardy and Superior. Her later years were at the Good Samaritan Village, Hastings. She was a former employee at the Village.

A member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, Ruskin, she later transferred her membership to the Centennial Lutheran Church, Superior.

Her husband, Jorgen Christen Petersen, died in October, 1928.

Oct. 4, 1943, she was united in marriage to John Pedersen, Hardy, at Belleville. Mr. Pedersen died in April, 1951.

Mrs. Pedersen is survived by her daughter, Helen Petersen, Hastings; two sons, Norman C., Petersen, Omaha, and Albert A. Petersen, II, Bellingham, Wash.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, two brothers, her husband, Jorgen, one son, Albert Petersen, I and her husband, John.

Burial was in the Spring Creek Cemetery, Ruskin.

The Butler-Volland Funeral Home, Hastings, was in charge of arrangements.
