Mrs. Beatrice M. Batten, age 79 of Lafe
died Monday, Oct. 14, at Arkansas Methodist
Hospital in Paragould.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Batten; her parents, Mr. And Mrs Henry H. Huckabay; and two infant sons,Owen H. and Lynn Buford Batten
Survivors include three sons, JW and Charles
of Lafe and Gene Batten of Paragould; four
daughters; Hazel Wilson of Fife Lake, Mich,
Wanda Jones and Mary Parker, both of Davison,
Mich., and Shirley Abney of Flint, Mich; four sisters,
Vesta England and Lucy Essman, both of Rector,
Annie Jordan of Marmaduke and Vivian Hoggard of
St. Louis, Mo., 31 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren
and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 16,
at Ramer's Chapel. Grandsons were pallbearers.
Arrangements were by Irby funeral service of Rector.
