Joseph Alan Claus
Joseph Alan Claus, age 50, of Crown Point, IN passed away on Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Anthony Hospice in Crown Point, IN.
Joseph is survived by his parents: Eugene and Loretta Claus of Crown Point; two sisters: Linda Muir of Crown Point and Paula (Craig) Orten of Brazil, IN; one brother, Eugene Claus of Richmond Hill, GA; nieces and nephews: Amie (Paul) Ellison, Melissa and Josh Winter, Ashley and Zac Orten, and Stephen and Ryan Claus; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Ben and Clara Claus, and Lester and Alice Vincent.
Joseph was a 1978 graduate of Crown Point High School, a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church, and worked as a carpenter and machinist. Joseph enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding his Harley, and talking.
Funeral prayers will be said on Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 9:45 AM at Crown Point, IN, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church, in Crown Point with Fr. Myron Lowisz officiating. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery in Crown Point, IN. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, August 27, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
Memorial donations may be given to St. Anthony Hospice in Crown Point, IN.
