Last rites for Marion Harrison Smith were held at the chapel of Lee Funeral Home on September 24th with the Rev. John T. McBride of Vaiden officiating. Interment was in the Vaiden cemetery with Lester James, John Earl James, Marion Ellis, R. W. Ellis, R. L. Brooks and Allen Simpson serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Smith who passed away in Bolivar, Tenn., on September 23rd was born in Alcorn County in 1879. He was a cattle farmer in Vaiden before his retirement. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by four sons, C. A. Smith, Vaiden, M. L. Smith, Ripley, R. B. Smith, Picayune, and M. E. Smith of Hornsby, Tenn.; and a brother, Joe Smith, Collierville, Tenn.
