Funeral services were held May 25, in Bandon for Grace Emily Gant, 87, who had lived in this community for nearly 80 years. Mrs. Gant died May 22, in Bandon.
Mrs. Gant was born December 18, 1903 in Dakem, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Thomas and Eva Thorn, and moved with her family to Bandon in 1912. She received her legal secretary training at Gooding (Idaho) Business School. She married Elmer A. Gant September 30, 1928, at Coquille. Mrs. Gant was a devoted mother and wife.
Pastor Rick House of Langlois Community Church officiated at the service, with private interment at the Bandon Odds Fellows Cemetery.
