BOISE DRUGGIST TAKEN BY DEATH,
C.O. Ballou Succumbs After Long Illness Thursday Night in Hospital

C.O. Ballou, senior member of the firm of Ballou-Latimer drug company died at 10:20 o'clock Thursday night at St Luke's Hospital. He had been ill since last August, when he was injured in an automobile accident in Boise/.

His death resulted from complications largely induced by the accident, Dr. TN Braxton, his physician said. For some time it has been apparent that he had been waging a desperate battle for life, and the end was not unexpected. He has traveled extensively in the past few months for the purpose of consulting specialists regarding his health, only recently having returned from a trip to California whither he had gone to seek relief from his ailments.

He came to Boise in 1893 from Walla Walla and engaged in the drug business here since, being connected with the Joy company until he entered the Ballou-Latimer firm in 1901. He was born in Illinois but went to Walla Walla at a very early age living there until he came to Boise.
