She was born Aug. 19, 1886 in Elk Lick Township, daughter of the late Samuel and Ellen (Kretchman) Loechel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel E Engle; and a son, Robert.
She is survived by one son John Hess Engle of Somerset and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends were received in the Thomas Funeral Home, Salisbury, where funeral services were held with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating. Interment, Salisbury cemetery.
