Betty Lou Bagnell Woods, 75, of Nashville, Tenn., formerly of Blackburn, died Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Friends may call Saturday prior to the service at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born March 27, 1935, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Robert S. Bagnell and Kathryn Louise Lawless Bagnell. She was a graduate of Marshall High School. She was a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia, earning a Bachelor of Science degree, and completed a one-year Dietetic internship at Vanderbilt University. In December 1957, in Marshall, she married Billy Jon Woods. She had lived in Nashville the past 43 years, moving from Harrisonburg, Va. She was a member of Belle Meade United Methodist Church, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and Checkwood.
Survivors include two daughters, Robin Kay Nolen and Suzanne Bedwell, both of Tulsa, Okla.; two grandchildren, Mariah Nolen and Brin Bedwell; two brothers, Charles Robert Bagnell of Blackburn and Thomas H. Bagnell of Marshall; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
