Carl W. Buck, 66, of Marshall, died Sunday, Aug. 1, 2010, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with William W. Harlow officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials may be made to family choice.
Born March 15, 1944, in Highland Park, Mich., he was the son of the late Wilbur W. Buck and Helen J. Manning Buck Ussery, who survives of Marshall. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. On Aug. 5, 1967, he married Brenda Ann Clark, who preceded him in death June 19, 1994. On July 29, 1995, he married Onneassa Fay Bailey, who survives of the home. He had lived in Marshall most of his life and retired from Coreslab Structures, formerly Quinn Concrete, in Marshall. He was a member of American Legion Post 478 in Blackburn.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Jay C. Buck of Marshall; three stepsons, Ross L. Bailey of Marshall, and Terry L. Pearce and Derek W. Pearce, both of Salina, Kan.; two grandchildren; one brother, Michael Buck of Slater; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Gene Ussery, and one sister, Barbara Ellen Buck.
