Mrs. Lucy Maher Taken by Death
Mrs. Lucy Maher, Reno resident for 57 years, died this morning at her home on East Sixth Street.
Born in Missouri, Mrs. Maher moved to Reno as a young woman and she and Dennis Maher were married in 1907. She was active in church work for many years. Mr. Maher died some time ago.
Surviving Mrs. Maher are a daughter, Mrs. Peggy Monroe and two grandchildren, Sandra and Linda Monroe, all of Reno; a sister, Mrs. Sally Lawary of Albany, MO., and a niece, Hettie Becker of Carson City.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the home chapel of the Ross-Burke Co. with the Rev. Blake Franklin of the First Baptist Church clergyman. Burial will be in the family plot in Mountain View Cemetery.
