Veronica was born Aug. 8, 1912 in Glad Valley, SD the daughter of Wm. and Mary (Wellman) Boeding. She was one of 13 children. She grew up and attended school in Glad Valley. On Dec. 30, 1936, Veronica was unitd in marriage to John O'Hora. They made their home in the Sioux Falls area and later moved to Larchwood in 1961. After her husband died in 1970, Veronica continued to reside in Larchwood During her life she was a hard worker and cleaned the parish residence for many years. Veronica was active in the Cathedral Club in Sioux Falls, St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar Society in Larchwood. She was a accomplished seamstress. For many years she used her talent in making clothing and wedding dresses for her family and others in the community, many times creating the pattern on her own. She had a love for all kinds of art and crafts, including oil painting and ceramics. Many remember the Raggedy Ann dolls she made. She liked to play cards and be with people, and she was a wonderful dancer. Every holidy, Veronica was famous for the baked beans and she was an excellent bread baker. In April of 1998, she became a resident of Fellowship Village in Inwood where she died this past Tuesday evening, January 18, 2005 at the age of 92.

She is survived by her family; one son, James O'Hora and his wife, Vicki of Sioux Falls, SD; three daughters, Joan Wiering and her husband, Jim of Larchwood, IA; Joyce Olson of Omaha, NE; and Jean Mischel and her husband, Don of Barstow, CA: along with two brothers, George Boeding of Faith, SD and Ray Boeding of Donahue, IA; and 3 sisters, Gertie Pollpeter, Frances Lampe and Rosanna Derksen all of West Point, IA; ten grandchildren, two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandsons and 2 step great-great grandsons.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John; 5 brothers Herman, William, Leonard, Vincent and John; and 2 sisters, Genevieve and Mary.
