Lola Ann Ludwig, 88, formerly of LaGrange, Mo., died Sunday, July 27, 2003, in the Lewis County Nursing Home, Canton. Born March 25, 1915, at LaGrange, a daughter of Floyd Harvey and Effie Mae Cason East. She married John Ralph Ludwig, Sr., September 2, 1934, at Ewing, Mo. He preceded her in death May 13, 1978. Mrs. Ludwig waqs a member of LaGrange Baptist Church, where she had been a Sunday6 School teacher for many years, a member of Little Queen Rebekah Lodge, LaGrange, Mo., O.E.S. and White Shrine.
Survivors include three grandchildren, Shelley Wheeler and husband, Dan, and John Ludwig and wife, Connie, all of Blue Springs, Mo., and Gary Brent Ludwig of East Moline, Ill.; four sisters, Jane White and husband, Marvin, Palmyra, Ethel Brandt, Springfield, Mo., Verte Cook and husband, Lester, Taylor, Mo., and Flossie Foust, LaGrange; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, John Ralph, Jr., and Gary Julian Ludwig; and one brother, William East. Visitation and a service by Little Queen Rebekah Lodge were held Tuesday, July 29, at Davis Funeral Home, Canton. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 30, at First Baptist Church, LaGrange, with Rev. Jim McReynolds officiating. Music was provided by Dorothy Gillespie, organist; and Marilyn Hoffman, vocalist. Pallbearers were Mike Lowe, Larry Brandt, Randy Summers, Jerry, Frankel, Harold Ludwig, LeRoy Brandt, Gene East, and Lester Jennings.
