She was born July 9, 1905, in Petersburg, the daughter of Alonzo and Margaret Parks Childers.
She married Rutledge A. Thompson and he died in 1950. Four sisters also preceded her in death.
She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church and was co-owner and manager of the Louise Shop in Petersburg for 30 years.
Surviving are one son Rutledge H. Thompson of Ridgewood, N.J.; one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Richardson of Springfield; five grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Fairest Fricke of Springfield; several nieces and nephews.
