Walter Simpson Dear Services were held for Mr. Walter Simpson Dear, 95 years old, Monday, August 20, 1990, 3 p.m., from Rexford Methodist Church, with Rev. Winfred Burns officiating. Interment was in Rexford Cemetery.
Mr. Dear died Sunday, August 19, 1990 at the Conva-Rest of Mendenhall. He was a retired farmer and a member of Rexford Methodist Church.
Survivors include his daughter: Mrs. Billie Whitfield of Florence; two sons: Vilas Dear of Florence and Tom Hardy Dear of Florence; five grandchildren; one great grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Upton Mims Mitchell of Mendenhall was in charge of the arrangements.
