Corbin L. Bowser, 95, of Kittanning died Saturday, March 12, 2005 at his residence.
He was born Dec. 27, 1909 in Kittanning to Herman B. and Edith (Schreckengost) Bowser.

Mr. Bowser was a laborer at McNeese Brick Yard, Kittanning and a self-employed contractor for more than 40 years.

He enjoyed collecting horse figurines, listening to gospel music, reading his Bible and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Anna E. (Swigart) Bowser whom he married in February 1935; four sons, Corbin J. Bowser and wife Frances and Robert L. Bowser and wife Flo, all of Kittanning, Joseph N. Bowser and wife Bonnie of Worthington and William E. Bowser and wife Linda of Kittanning; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one great-grandson, Larry Cornman III; one brother, Clifford Bowser; and two sisters, Nellie Cogley and Lucille Bowser.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home, Inc., 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning where additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Tuesday until funeral services at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John W. Snyder, of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, and Major Robert Myers, of The Salvation Army, co-officiating. Burial will be in West Glade Run Presbyterian Cemetery.
