Mrs. Corilla Ann (Whicker) Cain, 91, one of Tippecanoe County's oldest residents and widow of Nathan Cain, Civil War Veteran, died Sunday at 8 p.m. at her home on Rural Route 10 west of the city, after a few days' illness.
Born in Hamilton County, she married in 1866 and traveled from Hamilton County in a covered wagon to a farm northwest of Lafayette, She was a member of Sharon Chapel, U.B. church and its aid society, also Women's Relief Corp no 6. She leaves three sons: James Cain and Roy Cain of Lafayette; and Vern Cain, Mulberry; three daughters: Mrs. John Deck with whom she lived, Mrs. W.H. Erwin, Rural Rte 10, and Mrs. Charles Wolf, Rural Rte 7, also 22 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Body at Hippensteel Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Services there Wednesday at 10:30 a.m.
