Elizabeth "Bess" was a daughter of John and Hannah (Thompson) Burns. An interesting thing about her is that, for a long time after her and her husband's death, her exact birth date wasn't know for sure. Since she didn't want anyone to know her age. After doing research a few years ago, it was discovered that she was 5 years older then her husband Amos.
