Funeral Services for George Bowen
Resident of the Community Southwest of Emerson 40 years
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon for George Miller Bowen, 81, at his home four miles southwest of Emerson in charge of Rev J F Scott, pastor of the Baptist church. Death came to Mr Bowen at his home Wednesday, Feb 24.
Music at the services was furnished by Mrs Laura M Post, Mrs Avis Salmons, Ralph ?? and H E Greenwood with Mrs H E Greenwood at the piano.
Mr Bowen was born in Boone county, Ind, Oct 28, 1855, and came to Mills county in 1897 having lived in the same community for 40 years. He is survived by his wife, two children, six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. The children are Mrs Fred Cozad and Wilbur Bowen of Omaha
