Jane Susan Carroll passed away on March 16, 2012 in Danville, Arkansas at the age of 103 with her family at her side. She was born November 29, 1908 to Clifton and Susan Melon Moore of Dardanelle. She was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and mentor to many and had a strong Christian faith that carried her through bitter losses and great joys during her long life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Millie Carroll of Danville, two sons, Zebran Carroll of the home, and Billy Gerald Carroll of Franklin, TN; 15 brothers and sisters, Clyde Grace, Morris Moore, Cleo Grace, Truly Opal Moore, Perry Moore, Bryan Moore, Dewey Moore, Carrie Lee Cravens, Russell Moore, Lester Moore, Mary Cox, Anderson Moore, Ellen Melon Sellars, Phillip Moore, and Lorene Barnett.
She is survived by two sons, Bobby Loyd Carroll of Jacksonville, FL and Thomas Opal Carroll and wife Mary of Corpus Christi, TX, and a daughter Janelle Carroll Tatum and husband Tom of Danville, AR; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2:00 p.m. at Cornwell Chapel in Danville. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. at the Chapel before the service. Burial will be at Ard Cemetery.
Arrangements are by Cornwell Funeral Home, Danville.
