"Uncle Johnnie was a WWII Veteran and also served as a City of Charleston, SC Police Officer in the early 1950's. He loved his family very much. He was the son of Jacob Allie and Minnie Louise Driggers Dyson. He could catch fish when no one else could. He was a Painter by trade. He was a lot of fun to be with. He never met a stranger. He is missed by all." - Nephew Clyde L. Riley, Jr.

Served as an Army Corporal from February 13, 1945 - December 25, 1947. He was stationed in Philippines, California, Florida, and Oregon.
