Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Hurley Funeral Home, Petersburg, the Rev. Edward Maddox officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Petersburg. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Hospital Foundation, Breast Cancer Research.
Mrs. Bentley was born April 7, 1930, at Petersburg, a daughter of Fredrick and Mary McKinney Denton. She married Dale Backs on Dec. 27, 1949. She then married Leslie Bentley on April 30, 1988. He died Feb. 2, 1997.
She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Ellrick, Clinton; one sister, Mary Vice, Petersburg; and six brothers, Charles Denton, San Jose; Fred Denton Jr., Russell Denton, and Richard Denton, all of Petersburg; Carl Denton, Chicago; and Joseph (Trigger) Denton of Phoenix, Ariz.
She is also survived by two granddaughters, Ashley Roesch and Jordan Ellrick.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Elma Kinney, and two brothers, Clarence and Walter Denton.
Mrs. Bentley was retired from Corning Revere.
