Helen Hahler, age 76, of Willard, died Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at Willard Health Care Center, Willard.

She was born Feb. 9, 1928 in North Auburn to the late Max and Flossie (Carpenter) Phillips.

She was married Nov. 11, 1947 to Robert Joseph Hahler Sr., who preceded her in death in 2002.

She was a graduate of Willard High School, class of 1947 and a homemaker. She was a member of the St. Sebastian Catholic Church and Altar-Rosary Society, the former Farm Women's Club, Willard Eagles Aux., and enjoyed playing bingo and cards.

Surviving are a daughter, Donald (Marleen) Graham of Bloomville; sons, Robert J. Hahler Jr. and Mary of Willard and Ralph E. Hahler of Willard; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; three brothers, Joseph Phillips of Willard, Vincent Phillips of Elyria, Michael Phillips of Willard; and a sister, Maxine Brobst of Willard.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, Paul, Hubert, Jerome, George and Andy Phillips; a sister Amelia Fritz and a daughter, Darlene Marie Hahler.

Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday (today) at St. Sebastian's Catholic Church with Rev. Ft. John Nagele officiating.

Burial will be at St. Sebastian's Cemetery, Bismark.
