This monument is erected to perpetuate the memory of Mrs. Prudence Dewy who died Sept. 11th 1802 aged 77 years. Her first husband was Mr. Amos Kellogg, her second husband the last Capt. Stephen Dewy. In her youth she made a profession of religion and adorned it by a strict observance of the institutions and precepts of her Savior. The memory of the Just is Blessed.
