SINTON-Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at the Star-buck Funeral Home for Fred M. Kring, 78, who died Saturday afternoon at the Refugio County Hospital.
The Rev. A.H. Schmitt, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will officiate.
Requiem mass will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at the Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in the Skidmore Cemetery with Star-Buck Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Kring had been in ill health for several months. He was a resident of Sinton for the past 30 years, and has followed the carpentry trade since moving here.
Prior to moving to Sinton, he lived in Skidmore for 18 years and served as Bee County commissioner of Precint 4 for 12 years.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs W.O. Ficklin, Refugio; Mrs Louise Sowey, Sinton; two sons, W.L., Houston; Leo, Sinton; one brother, J.D. Kring, Phoenix, Ariz; and six granddaughters.
