JAMES D. (JD) DOBSON, age 70, of Buckhead Ridge, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2001 at his residence. Born March 9, 1931 in Olustee, to Daniel W. and Willie Mae (Pringle) Dobson. Mr. Dobson was an electrician in construction by trade and an avid hunter and fisherman. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Oakview Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by his wife, Lillian.
Survivors include: his sister, Wilhelmina Kelley of Clewiston; step-daughters, Annette Dobson of the Bahamas, Anita A. Griffin of Auburndale and Adrienne A. Ackley of Jackson, Ga.; three grandsons, three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; two sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law; nine nephews and two nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, Nov. 9, 2001.
Funeral services are Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at 1 p.m., at the Bass Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Robert Moore officiating. Interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Hope Hospice of Lehigh.
All arrangements are under the direction and care of the Bass Funeral Home.
