Manford B. Wright, 91, of Cleveland Road, Granger, Indiana, died at 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 7, in his residence. He was born on Jan. 16, 1908, in Michigan City, Indiana, to Ada M. (Blystone) and Jacob A. Wright, both of whom preceded him in death. On. Nov. 23, 1933, in Columbia City, Indiana, he married Kathryn M. Hall, who preceded him in death on March 4, 1998. Mr. Wright was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Theresa Wright; and by a great- granddaughter, Jamie Hummell. Mr. Wright is survived by two sons, Lane A. Wright of Granger and Cyrus C. Wright of South Bend; five grandchildren, Gary, Robert and Dwayne Wright, all of South Bend, Bonnie Tyler of Granger and Elaine Hummell of South Bend; and by five great-grandchildren. Mr. Wright was a lifelong area farmer. He retired from the Bendix Corporation where he was a machinist and an inspector. He was a member of the Bendix Retirees Club and the Stationery Engineers Club at Memorial Hospital. He was a charter member of the Harris Township Volunteer Fire Department and attended Harris Prairie Church of Christ. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
