NATALIE MARIE SEDITA ADAMS, 92, peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, August 18, 2010.

Natalie was a native Houstonian and graduated with honors from John H. Reagan High School in 1934. She was an accomplished piano player who earned many scholarships in music. She could make the piano "talk" - especially playing the tune "Boogie Woogie."

Natalie met her future husband, Tony Adams, at a dance and it was love at first sight. Four children later, they opened three "Adams Cut Rate" retail liquor stores. She was an astute business woman.

Natalie was the most devoted wife and mother to her family and they felt and knew her love. We will miss her smile and devotion greatly! To sum it all up, her life was her family.

Her great interest was watching sports. Her love for the Houston Oilers, Texans and Astros was tremendous. Natalie watched her soap operas for over forty years. Her love for her plants and flowers never ceased to amaze family and friends.

She was a charter member of the Amieketos, Caritas Club and Ladies of St. Joseph's, all of Italian heritage. Natalie belonged to St. Theresa Catholic Church and was a pioneer member of the parish and the Women's Club for over 53 years.

Natalie's family would like to thank her grandson, Anthony Cashmere, for living with her for 32 years, protecting and aiding her in her daily life. In addition, thanks to her grandson, Charles Cashmere, for his assistance with her many necessities. Special thanks to all of the nurses at Buckingham Plaza for taking such tremendous care of my mom and Nana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Cindy Sedita; her beloved husband Anthony "Tony" Adams; her brothers, Vincent and his twin, Tommy Sedita; and sister-in-law Ada Sedita. Natalie lost three of her treasured children, Joseph and Louis Adams and daughter, Dorothea Kristoff.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Marks and husband Bill; daughter-in-law Judy Adams; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and six great great-grandchildren plus one on the way.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 until 8 PM on Sunday, August 22, 2010 with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be conducted at 10 AM on Monday, August 23, 2010 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street, Houston, TX. A graveside service and committal will immediately follow in Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
