John Joseph Murphy, 72 years old, of five miles northwest of Baring, died early Saturday morning Jan. 15, 1955, at the farm home where he was born and lived his entire life.
The body was brought to the Kriegshauser Funeral Home here and funeral services were at 10 o'clock Monday morning at St. Aloysius Church in Baring by the Rev. Stephen Carew, pastor. Burial was in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
Mr. Murphy is survived by two brothers and three sisters, Thomas Murphy and Miss Lillian Murphy of the home place, Miss Pansy Murphy and Elsie, Mrs. Rex Winningham, of Kansas City, and Oliver Murphy of San Francisco, Calif.
John Joseph Murphy was born Jan. 6, 1883, a son of Thomas and Ellen Keough Murphy. He never married.
