On the 1850 Rockbridge Co., VA census, I found farmer Jacob Horn, 65; Elizabeth Horn, 56; farmer John Hom, 27; Ann E Hom, 25; Elizabeth M Hom, 4; Luther B Hom, 1 and (his mother in law, unlabeled in 1850) Barbra Snider, 76, all VA born.
Four months and 9 days before Barbara died in 1858, her daughter Elizabeth Snider Horn, died 10 Dec 1857 in Rockbridge Co., VA. Daughter of "Jno and Barbara Snider," she was born in 1794 in Rockbridge Co., VA, and was married to Jacob Horn (FS).
Elizabeth Snider Horn, 15 Mar 1794 - 10 Dec 1857, buried at Wilson Cemetery. ""Frank Duff, Waynesboro, VA cites Cy Stricklers diary. He states "Rev. Givens Brown Strickler (1840-1913) kept a diary until his deal in 1913." Cy Strickler had it in his possession. He also states that in about 1918, Cy Strickler visited the cemetery at Strickler Springs. "...it had a wooden fence with iron rails. It was in excellent condition and had at least 50 stones and many fieldstones." Death information given, but not positive burial location, daughter of John & Barbara."
