Dee was born on the family farm in N. Mahoning Twp., Indiana Co., PA, the son of John Sprankle Jordan and Minnie Jane Wachob. He married Margaret Irene Heitzenrater on May 14, 1925 in Punxsutawney, Jefferson Co., PA.

Dee and Margaret were the parents of five children:
1. Margie Jane Jordan
2. William Eugene Jordan
3. Harry Dee Jordan
4. "Jack" John Lee Jordan (twin)
5. an unnamed, infant son (twin)

U. Dee Jordan, 55, Employe of Local Funeral Home, Dies

U. Dee Jordan, an employe of the Morrison Funeral Home in this city the past 10 years and a lifelong resident of the Punxsutawney area, died Monday in the Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following a critical four-week illness. He was 55 years of age.

His death was ascribed to a complications [sic] of ailments.

Mr. Jordan was born in Valier [sic] July 10, 1898, a son of John S. and Minnie Wachob Jordan. He was united in marriage May 14, 1925, to Margaret Heitzenrater, of Punxsutawney. He had been employed by Crissman's Florists here before he became associated with the Morrison Funeral Home.

The deceased was a member of the Presbyterian Church here and belonged to the Punxsutawney council of the United Commercial Travelers.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Harry and Jack, of this city, and these brothers and sisters: Clair Jordan, of Ambridge; Mrs. Clair Blose, of Hamilton; Mrs. Claude Smith, of Oliveburg; Verner Jordan and Mrs. Edward Stiver, of Cloe; Mrs. Kenneth Kerr, of Curwensville; Mrs. Velma Snyder, of Punxsutawney, and Mervin Jordan, of Punxsutawney R. D. 1.

Friends will be received in the Morrison Funeral Home on South Gilpin Street after ? o'clock this evening and until time for services, to be held in the funeral home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Dr. H. C. Humke, pastor of the Presbyterian Church here, will officiate, and interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
