MRS. MARY E. KENNEY
BROOKS, July 12— Mrs. Mary Emogene Kenney, widow of Llewelyn P. Kenney, died at her home on West Main street late Sunday afternoon after several years’ ill health. She was confined to her bed during the past one and one-half years.
Mrs. Kenney was born in Knox, July 31, 1868, daughter of Reuben and Abagail (Mixer) McKay, and was the last of a large family of children. She attended public schools in Knox. She later moved to Bath where her husband was employed as foreman of the New England Telephone and Telegraph company. Later they moved to Brunswick where they remained until Mr. Kenney retired.
Two children survive: Reuben J. Kenney of West Brooks and Mrs. Ethel Webber, who has cared for her mother the past year. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at the First Congregational church Wednesday at two p. m., Rev. J. Wesley Haynes officiating.
Interment will be in the family lot in the Rose cemetery, Brooks.
