Services for B.W. "Sonny" Evans, Jr. will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2006, in the chapel of John Kramer & Son with Rev. Joe Wellman officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Pineville under the direction of John Kramer & Son.
"Sonny" Evans, Jr., 69, of Boyce, died Tuesday, February 21, 2006, in Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Sonny was the owner of Evans Electric Company here in Alexandria. He was a Navy veteran and a member of the Forty and Eight, the AmVets, the American Legion and the VFW.
He is preceded in death by his father, B.W. Evans, Sr., his mother, Elder May Aymond, and his granddaughter, Courtney Denise Grigsby.
Sonny is survived by his wife, Belva Jane Evans of Boyce; his special buddy, Cody Evans Landry of Boyce; three sons, Robert Landry, Jr. of Vero Beach, Florida, Louis Wayne Landry and fiancee Cindy of Lafayette and Richard Joseph Landry and fiancee Jill of Fruita, Colorado; four daughters, Susan Louise Landry and fiancee Ron of Eunice, Bonnie Marie Cassell and husband Travis of Kolin, Goldie Ann Fitch and fiance Shane of Lafayette and Vickie Denise Landry of Alexandria; one brother, John Aymond and wife Peggy of Kolin; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren
Pallbearers will be Robert Moore, Kenneth Reese, Oscar Haertling, Wendell Myers, Jerry J. Edwards and Bill Searcy.
Friends are asked to call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of services Thursday at John Kramer & Son.
