Martha Stuart, wife of John Stuart, died at her home in Carthage, Rush county, at 9 o'clock Friday night and her funeral will occur at 10:30 a.m. to-morrow. The deceased was a daughter of Benjamin Strattan, Sr., who was one of the early settlers in Richmond. She was a member of Friends' society and had many relatives here an in the vicinity. She was an aunt of the writer and he speaks from his own knowledge when he says that her life abounded in Christian virtues and was full of good works.
